Ordering & Custom Product Terms
These terms provide additional information about sales tax, quotes, custom-label orders, artwork, proof approval, production timing, order changes, cancellations, and returns.
Sales Tax
Applicable sales tax is calculated based on the order and delivery location.
Customers requesting tax-exempt purchasing must provide valid exemption documentation before an order can be processed as tax exempt. Providing a federal tax identification number alone does not automatically establish tax-exempt status.
Tax-exempt status is not active until the documentation has been reviewed and accepted.
Quotes and Pricing
Custom-label pricing is based on the specifications, materials, quantities, finishing requirements, artwork, and delivery needs provided at the time of quoting.
A quote may be revised if any of the following change:
- Label dimensions
- Material or adhesive
- Printing or finishing requirements
- Quantity
- Artwork
- Packaging
- Delivery timing
- Shipping requirements
Quotes are valid only for the period stated on the quote.
Custom Label Specifications
Customers are responsible for providing accurate project information, including:
- Label dimensions
- Material and adhesive requirements
- Application surface
- Environmental exposure
- Printing requirements
- Quantity
- Artwork
- Regulatory or product content
- Required delivery timing
OpStrata may request additional information, testing, or samples before recommending or producing a custom label.
Artwork and Customer-Supplied Content
Customers are responsible for ensuring that submitted artwork, logos, trademarks, images, text, barcodes, numbers, and other content are accurate and authorized for use.
By submitting artwork or content, the customer confirms that they have the right to use it and authorizes OpStrata to use it for quoting, proofing, production, and order fulfillment.
OpStrata is not responsible for verifying ownership of customer-supplied artwork or intellectual property.
Proof Approval
When a proof is provided, the customer is responsible for reviewing and approving all details before production, including:
- Spelling and wording
- Product information
- Barcodes and numbers
- Label dimensions
- Colors
- Layout
- Regulatory content
- Variable information
- Artwork placement
Approval of a proof authorizes production based on the approved version.
OpStrata is not responsible for errors that were visible in and approved on the final proof.
Custom Label Lead Times
Custom-label lead times differ from stock-product fulfillment times.
Estimated timing will be provided during the quote or order process and may depend on:
- Material availability
- Artwork readiness
- Proof approval
- Order quantity
- Production requirements
- Finishing requirements
- Shipping method
Production lead time begins only after all required specifications, artwork, approvals, payment arrangements, and purchase documentation have been received.
Same-day shipping expectations shown for eligible stock products do not apply to custom-label orders.
Order Changes
Requested changes may affect pricing, lead time, materials, and production scheduling.
Changes are not considered approved until OpStrata confirms them in writing.
Changes requested after artwork approval, material ordering, setup, or production has begun may result in additional charges or may not be possible.
Cancellations
Custom-label orders may be canceled only with written approval from OpStrata.
Once materials have been ordered, setup has begun, or production has started, cancellation may not be possible.
The customer may be responsible for costs already incurred before the cancellation request was received.
Production Quantities
Custom manufacturing may occasionally result in quantities that differ slightly from the ordered amount.
Any applicable production allowances, overruns, underruns, or exact-quantity requirements will be communicated during the quote or order approval process.
Custom Product Returns
Custom labels, specially manufactured products, altered products, and other custom-order items are generally not eligible for return or cancellation after production has begun.
Exceptions may be considered if the delivered product is defective or does not match the approved order specifications.
